Luke Irvine and Niall Mc Veigh have recently been the recipients of the Mary Peters sports award of £200 which will assist with the costs incurred while competing in the European disability championships, Germany May 2008. |

Scottish four nations disability championships Emma Farnham, David Kelly, Luke Irvine and Niall Mc Veigh will be traveling to Scotland to compete in the 2nd leg of the four nations championships from the 4 to 6 April 2008 there will be a total of 12 restricted growth players from N Ireland and the UK will competing in the championships |

The Newtownabbey 7th Annual sporting hall of fame and annual sports awards will take place on Thursday 17 April 2008 at Ballyearl arts centre. David Kelly, Member of DAANI, has been short listed as one of the finalists for the Disability sports award. The winning person will be announced at the gala evening.

DSE Awards, Manchester Two recipients of awards for their hard work, outstanding results and achievements are Niall and Eugene Mc Veigh. |

Four Nations Badminton Championships The first Four Nations Badminton Championships were held on the weekend of 17th August. It took place at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff and was a superb weekend. The DAA sent a squad of 13 of the best players which was the largest squad of any of the different disabilities present. |

DDA UK Games Birmingham round up Four of Northern Ireland Dwarf Athletes travelled to Birmingham to compete in the DAAUK National and international games. Over 100 Athletes from Ireland, England and Europe took part in the games. |

DSE Championships, Blackpool The newly formed Northern Ireland Disability Squad were competing at this year's DSE Junior Championships in Blackpool. This was the first Championships the squad of 8 Athletics have competed in. This year's Championships had over 400 Athletes competing, from all regions of the UK. |
