As DAANI is a voluntary organisation, we depend on funding through our own members. We regularly organise funding raising events. The money raised from these events has been used to support our athletes financially. This has enabled them to compete in both national and international events since 2003. Funding is also used to organise training sessions in various sports such as badminton, athletics and team sports.

Funding The DAANI relies totally on funding to run its National and Regional events and therefore would be happy to accept any form of funding from both individual and corporate sponsorship. For more information please contact DAANI.
In 2005, as a result of this training, and to help promote dwarf athletics it was felt that Northern Ireland as a DAA region should organise and host a major sporting event. The result was the 2006 DAANI Belfast City European and Open Championship, which attracted 100 athletes from 8 countries. The three day event hosted an array of talent, including current and future paralympians. The event was a great showcase both local talent and restricted growth sport.
Due to the success of the 2006 European Championships, Northern Ireland have secured the bid to host the 5th Dwarf World Games 2009. The previous hosts of this prestigious event were Chicago, USA (1993), England (1997), Canada (2001) and France (2005). Click for more information on the 2009 Games.
Similar to the 2012 Olympics in London, it is important that we ensure our athletes are given every opportunity to prepare for these illustrious championships.
This is where local companies can get involved. If you can give financial support, you can feel proud that you have played a big part in preparing our Northern Ireland athletes. Any money raised or donated will be used for sports equipment, training camps and to give financial aid to enable our athletes to travel to other major championships like the annual DAAUK games, the IWA Championships and the UK Senior Athletics Championships in Manchester. It is vital for the development of our athletes to compete in these events.
We estimate that the estimated cost for our members to compete in these events and to continue their development will be between £2500 - £3000 per annum. DAANI's mission is to ensure our athletes get these opportunities in run-up to the 2009 World Games.
DAANI is a regional body. Our main sports governing body is the DAAUK. All money raised or donated stays within the Northern Ireland Region.
Our Charity Number is 1041961.
