The Dwarf Athletic Association Northern Ireland

The Dwarf Athletic Association of Northern Ireland (DAANI) is a sporting organisation formed in 2003. Our aim is to provide children and adults from across Northern Ireland with restricted growth conditions, the opportunity to get involved in sport at a level of their choice. DAANI is a regional organisation within the national DAAUK charity. It is also affiliated to Disability Sport NI (DSNI).

In our short history, DANNI has being remarkably active, culminating in the hosting of 2006 European Championships in Belfast.
Due to the success of the 2006 European Championships, DAANI have secured the bid to host the 5th Dwarf World Games 2009. The previous hosts of this prestigious event were Chicago, USA (1993), England (1997), Canada (2001) and France (2005). Click for more information on the 2009 Games.
As DAANI is a voluntary organisation it relies on Funding. All money raised or donated stays within the Northern Ireland Region.
